Garmin GTN Workshop

For those of you who are unfamiliar with this model of avionics, the GTN 650 and 750’s are fully integrated GPS/NAV/COMM touch screen units. These units offer the greatest detail in terrain mapping and if properly equipped, traffic, xm weather data and much more information. Join us on Thursday, May 16th as we work through these powerful units.

The class will be held in Fly There’s conference room using Garmin’s free downloadable GPS Simulator. This classes will focus on VFR & IFR operations. During the course you will be presented with various flight scenarios, flight planning and navigation.

Do you find yourself staring at the menu items trying to find the right spot to find what you need?
If you are like most pilots new to this equipment, you are probably short on initial training. In fact, you may get so overwhelmed you simply give up trying and lose out on valuable information and functionality.

If you like the idea of knowing exactly where to find the information that you need, at exactly the right time, then click here to register for the class. For a small fee of $49 you will leave the class feeling comfortable and proficient using the Garmin GTN 650 & 750’s. And as always we will be providing the most important part, light refreshments and snacks.

The classroom size is limited to 10 people. Please RSVP by May 10th. Based on enrollment, more classes will be added as necessary (we would consider adding a class at 1 p.m. on the same day if necessary).

Feel free to bring your iPad tablet with your downloadable GPS simulator installed to help follow along (sorry Android pilots this only works on iPad’s).
